This axial fan, like other VO series axial fans, moves air or gas along the axis of the impeller, which is driven by an electric motor. The VO series axial fan is intended for the transportation of explosive gas-vapor-air mixtures of category 1 and 2, groups T1, T2, T3, according to the classification of the "Rules for Electrical Installations" (PEU). The transported medium must not cause accelerated corrosion of the fan's flow path materials. It can also be used for air with temperatures ranging from –40 °C to +40 °C (up to +45 °C for tropical versions), and must be free of dust and other solid particles exceeding 10 mg/m³, as well as fibrous or sticky substances.

The fan is designed for operation in moderate (U) and tropical (T) climates, placement category 2.

The root mean square vibration speed must not exceed 6.3 mm/s. Installation on foundations subject to vibrations greater than 2 mm/s is not allowed.

The fan must be installed in locations protected from atmospheric precipitation.

The VO 06-300 (VO 13-290) VZ #5 w/motor 4VR 71 B4 0.75 kW 1500 rpm (VO 12-300) axial fan has an impeller mounted directly on the motor shaft. The fan housing is cylindrical and flanged on both ends for duct connection. A support bracket is provided for installation on the foundation. The impeller consists of a shroud, disk, hub, and three blades welded to the shroud. The fan is manufactured with right-hand rotation.

Air is moved by transferring the rotational energy from the impeller, which is driven by the electric motor, along the axial direction of the impeller.
