This axial fan, like other fans of the VO series, moves air or gas along the axis of the impeller, which is driven by an electric motor. The fan is intended for ventilation or air heating systems and other gas mixtures whose aggressiveness toward standard-grade carbon steel does not exceed that of air at temperatures from -40 °C to +40 °C (up to 45 °C for tropical versions), and which do not contain dust or solid particles above 10 mg/m³, nor fibrous or sticky substances.

The fan is designed for use in temperate (U) climate conditions (placement category 2) and tropical (T) climate (placement category 2). The RMS vibration speed should not exceed 6.3 mm/s. Installation on structures exposed to vibration exceeding 2 mm/s is not allowed. The fan must be installed in locations protected from precipitation. The model is an analogue of low-pressure axial fans VO 12-300, VO 13-300, VO 12-290, VO 12-330, VO 13-290, VO 14-300, VO 14-320, VO 13-320.

The impeller is mounted directly on the motor shaft. The housing is cylindrical, with flanged ends for duct connection. A mounting base is provided for installation. The impeller consists of a shell, disk, hub, and three blades. The fan rotates clockwise (right-hand).
