Purpose of Hot Blast Fans VGDN #17
Single-inlet centrifugal hot blast fans VGDN #17 are used to supply air heated in air preheaters to the furnaces of stationary steam boilers (primary air fans). These fans are also allowed for use in various technological installations to transport clean air and non-aggressive, dust-free gases with temperatures up to 400 °C.
General Information about Hot Blast Fans VGDN #17
- Single-sided suction
- Rotatable spiral housing
- Forward-curved blades
- Number of blades – 16
- Direction of rotation – right and left
Design of Hot Blast Fans VGDN #17
The design of the hot blast fans is based on the VD-type forced draft fans.
The fan consists of the following main components: impeller, spiral housing, running gear, axial guide vane, frames for the running gear, and a drive electric motor with a frame.
Considering the elevated temperature of the air-gas mixture, the impeller, inlet nozzle, and guide vane are made of low-carbon molybdenum steel.
The fan is equipped with a shaft cooling system for the running gear.
Operating Conditions of Hot Blast Fans VGDN #17
Hot blast fans VGDN #17 are designed for long-term operation both outdoors and indoors (under shelter from atmospheric precipitation) in temperate climates (climate version U, placement category 2). The allowable ambient temperature is not lower than -30 °C. The maximum air temperature at the fan inlet must not exceed 400 °C.
