Low pressure centrifugal fan

Low-pressure centrifugal fan of the VC 4-75 #4 series (VR 88-72.1-5.5, VR 80-75-5) with electric motor Electric motor 4VR 71 B4 0.75 Power kW 1500 Vol./Min made from dissimilar materials for explosive environments
This fan is designed for ventilation or air conditioning systems operating in environments with explosive gas-vapor-air mixtures of categories 1 and 2, groups T1, T2, T3, according to the "Rules for Electrical Installations" (PUE). These mixtures should not cause accelerated corrosion of the fan's flow path materials. The mixture temperature should not exceed 80 °C, and the content of fibrous materials, sticky substances, dust, and other solid impurities should not exceed 100 mg/m³ under moderate (U) climate conditions (placement category 3) and tropical (T) conditions (placement category 2) according to DSTU 15150. The ambient temperature should range from -40°C to +40°C (+40°C if equipped with tropical-design electric motors).
The housing and blades of explosion-proof impellers are made of material pairs (steel-brass or steel-aluminum) that are safe against ignition from friction sparks in accordance with DSTU 22782.0-81.
The centrifugal fan VC 4-75 #4 (VR 88-72.1-5.5, VR 80-75-5) consists of the following units, which can be purchased separately:

Application of centrifugal fans VC 4-75 VZ #4 w/motor 4VR 71 B4 0.75 kW 1500 rpm (VR 88-72.1-5.5, VR 80-75-5):
- Air conditioning systems
- Ventilation systems
- Air heating systems
- Other sanitary and industrial applications
The centrifugal fan VC 4-75 VZ #4 w/motor 4VR 71 B4 0.75 kW 1500 rpm (VR 88-72.1-5.5, VR 80-75-5) is used under moderate climate conditions at ambient temperatures from -40 °C to +40 °C. The temperature of the transported medium must not exceed 80 °C.
Operating principle of the centrifugal fan VC 4-75 VZ #4 w/motor 4VR 71 B4 0.75 kW 1500 rpm (VR 88-72.1-5.5, VR 80-75-5):
The air enters the fan at a 90-degree angle due to the energy transferred from the impeller blades under the influence of centrifugal force. It then moves radially to the spiral casing and is directed under pressure through the fan outlet.
Fan VC 4-75 #4 completeness using dissimilar metals:
The fan VC 4-75 #4 (VR 88-72.1-5.5, VR 80-75-5) with electric motor Electric motor 4VR 71 B4 0.75 Power kW 1500 Vol./Min consists of the following main components:
- Spiral casing
- Impeller
- Frame
- Collector
- Electric motor Electric motor 4VR 71 B4 0.75 Power kW 1500 Vol./Min
The impeller includes a front and rear disc, 12 sheet blades, and a hub.
The fan frame is welded. The base includes an opening for mounting on vibration isolators or a foundation. The motor and cover are mounted on the frame.
The conical collector is attached to the inlet pipe to direct air to the impeller. The overlap between the collector and the front disc of the impeller is adjusted by axial displacement of the collector within the inlet pipe.
Fan housing orientation (viewed from the suction side):
- a) Right-hand rotation
- b) Left-hand rotation
Placement category notes based on climate conditions:
Category 1: For outdoor operation (exposed to the full range of climatic factors typical of the given macroclimatic region).
Category 2: For operation under a canopy or in spaces where temperature and humidity changes are similar to those outdoors, such as tents, trailers, and uninsulated metal enclosures.
Category 3: For operation indoors with natural ventilation, without artificial climate control, where exposure to dust, moisture, and temperature fluctuations is reduced, such as insulated metal, stone, concrete, or wooden buildings.
Category 4: For operation in premises with controlled climate conditions, such as heated, cooled, or ventilated industrial facilities, including well-ventilated underground spaces.
Category 5: For operation in high-humidity areas (e.g., unheated and unventilated basements, mines, soil, or compartments where water accumulation or condensation is frequent, including some ship holds or textile/hydrometallurgical workshops).
D/Dn – the diameter ratio fan impeller to the nominal diameter of the impeller. The impellers, which diameters differ from the nominal one, are called co-efficient impellers. The ratio of the diameter of the fan impeller to the nominal diameter of the impeller could be: 0.9, 0.95, 1.05, 1.1.
