Low pressure centrifugal fan

Low-pressure centrifugal fan of the VC 4-75 #4 series (VR 88-72.1-5.5, VR 80-75-5) with electric motor Electric motor 4VR 71 A4 0.55 Power kW 1500 Vol./Min made from dissimilar materials for explosive environments
This fan is intended for ventilation or air conditioning systems of explosive gas-vapor-air mixtures of categories 1 and 2, groups T1, T2, T3 according to the classification of the "Rules for Electrical Installations" (PUE), which do not cause accelerated corrosion of the flow path materials of the fans. These mixtures must not exceed a temperature of 80 °C, and the content of fibrous materials, sticky substances, dust, and other solid impurities must not exceed 100 mg/m³ under moderate (U) climate conditions (placement category 3) and tropical (T) climate conditions (placement category 2), according to DSTU 15150. The ambient temperature is allowed within the range from -40°C to +40°C (+40°C with tropical-design electric motors).
The housings and blades of the explosion-proof fan impellers are made from material pairs (Steel-Brass or Steel-Aluminum) that are not dangerous in terms of ignition from friction sparks according to DSTU 22782.0-81.

Application of centrifugal fans VC 4-75 VZ #4 w/motor 4VR 71 A4 0.55 kW 1500 rpm (VR 88-72.1-5.5, VR 80-75-5):
- Air conditioning systems
- Ventilation systems
- Air heating systems
- Other sanitary and industrial purposes
The centrifugal fan VC 4-75 VZ #4 w/motor 4VR 71 A4 0.55 kW 1500 rpm (VR 88-72.1-5.5, VR 80-75-5) is operated under moderate climate conditions at ambient temperatures from -40 °C to +40 °C. The temperature of the conveyed medium must not exceed 80 °C.
Operating principle of the centrifugal fan VC 4-75 VZ #4 w/motor 4VR 71 A4 0.55 kW 1500 rpm (VR 88-72.1-5.5, VR 80-75-5):
Air, by receiving energy from the impeller blades, enters the fan under the influence of centrifugal force at a 90-degree angle and proceeds in a radial direction to the spiral casing. Inside the scroll, the air moves along the spiral-shaped casing and is directed under pressure through the fan outlet.
Completeness of the centrifugal fan VC 4-75 #4 with dissimilar metals:
The fan VC 4-75 #4 (VR 88-72.1-5.5, VR 80-75-5) with electric motor Electric motor 4VR 71 A4 0.55 Power kW 1500 Vol./Min consists of the following main components:
- Spiral casing
- Impeller
- Base frame
- Collector
- Electric motor Electric motor 4VR 71 A4 0.55 Power kW 1500 Vol./Min
The impeller consists of a front and rear disk, 12 sheet blades, and a hub.
The base frame is welded. It has an opening for installation on vibration isolators or a foundation. The electric motor and the protective cover are mounted on the base frame.
The conical collector, which directs air to the impeller, is fixed on the inlet nozzle. The overlap between the collector and the front disk of the impeller is adjusted by axially moving the collector within the inlet nozzle.
Orientation of the housing of radial fans with right-hand (RH) and left-hand (LH) rotation, viewed from the suction side:
- a) Right-hand rotation
- b) Left-hand rotation
Note on placement categories depending on climate conditions:
Category 1: For outdoor use (exposed to the full set of climatic factors characteristic of the given macroclimatic area).
Category 2: For use under a canopy or in premises (volumes) where temperature and humidity fluctuations are not significantly different from those outdoors and there is relatively free access to outside air, such as in tents, enclosures, trailers, metal structures without thermal insulation, and inside the shell of category 1 equipment (no direct exposure to solar radiation or precipitation).
Category 3: For use in enclosed spaces (volumes) with natural ventilation without artificially controlled climate conditions, where fluctuations in temperature and humidity and exposure to dust and sand are significantly less than outdoors, for example in insulated metal, stone, concrete, or wooden structures (no exposure to precipitation or direct solar radiation; significantly reduced wind; significantly reduced or absent exposure to diffuse solar radiation and moisture condensation).
Category 4: For use in premises (volumes) with artificially controlled climate conditions, such as closed heated or cooled and ventilated production areas. For use in rooms with conditioned or partially conditioned air and other well-ventilated underground spaces (no exposure to direct solar radiation, precipitation, wind, sand and dust from outside air; absence or significant reduction of diffuse solar radiation and moisture condensation).
Category 5: For use in premises (volumes) with high humidity (e.g., in unheated and unventilated underground rooms, including mines, basements, soil, ship, and marine compartments where prolonged water presence or frequent moisture condensation on walls and ceilings is possible, including certain holds, and workshops in textile, hydrometallurgical industries, etc.).
D/Dn – the diameter ratio fan impeller to the nominal diameter of the impeller. The impellers, which diameters differ from the nominal one, are called co-efficient impellers. The ratio of the diameter of the fan impeller to the nominal diameter of the impeller could be: 0.9, 0.95, 1.05, 1.1.
