Description

The centrifugal low-pressure fan of the VC 4-75 #4 series (VR 88-72.1-5.5, VR 80-75-5) with an electric motor Electric motor 4VR 112 M2 7.5 Power kW 3000 Vol./Min is made of dissimilar materials for explosive environments.

This fan is intended for ventilation or air-conditioning systems of gas-vapor-air explosive mixtures of category 1 and 2, groups T1, T2, T3 according to the classification of the "Rules for Electrical Installations" (REI), which do not cause accelerated corrosion of the materials of the flow part of the fans. These mixtures must not exceed a temperature of 80 °C, and the content of fibrous materials, sticky substances, dust and other solid impurities should not exceed 100 mg/m³ under moderate (U) climate conditions (placement category 3) and tropical (T) climate (placement category 2) in accordance with DSTU 15150. The ambient temperature is allowed in the range from -40°C to +40°C (+40°C when completed with tropical-type electric motors).

The housing and blades of the impellers of explosion-proof fans are made of materials that form a pair (Steel-Brass or Steel-Aluminum), which are safe in terms of ignition from friction sparks in accordance with DSTU 22782.0-81.

The centrifugal fan VC 4-75 #4 (VR 88-72.1-5.5, VR 80-75-5) consists of the following units, which can be purchased separately:

Centrifugal fan VC 4-75 VZ #4 w/motor 4VR 112 M2 7.5 kW 3000 rpm (VR 88-72.1-5.5, VR 80-75-5) is operated in moderate climate conditions at ambient temperatures from -40 °C to +40 °C. The temperature of the transported medium must not exceed 80 °C.

Operating principle of centrifugal fan VC 4-75 VZ #4 w/motor 4VR 112 M2 7.5 kW 3000 rpm (VR 88-72.1-5.5, VR 80-75-5):

Air, by gaining energy from the impeller blades, enters the fan under the action of centrifugal force at an angle of 90 degrees and moves radially to the volute spiral housing. In the volute, moving along the spiral-shaped body, the air under pressure is directed through the fan outlet.

  • spiral housing
  • impeller
  • base frame
  • inlet collector

The impeller consists of a front and rear disc, 12 sheet blades, and a hub.

The fan base frame is welded. The base has a hole for mounting on vibration isolators or foundation. The electric motor and protective casing are mounted on the base.

The conical-shaped inlet collector, which directs air to the impeller, is mounted on the inlet pipe. The overlap between the collector and the front disc of the impeller is adjusted by axially moving the collector inside the inlet pipe.

Note on placement categories depending on climate conditions:

  1. Category 1: for outdoor operation (exposure to a combination of climatic factors characteristic of the given macroclimatic regions)
  2. Category 2: for operation under a shelter or in rooms (volumes) where temperature and humidity fluctuations are slightly different from those in the open air and there is relatively free access to outside air, for example, in tents, bodyworks, trailers, metal rooms without thermal insulation, and also in the enclosure of a category 1 product (no direct sunlight and precipitation)
  3. Category 3: for indoor use with natural ventilation and without artificially regulated climate conditions, where temperature and humidity fluctuations, and the influence of dust and sand are significantly less than in open areas, for example, in metal buildings with insulation, stone, concrete, or wooden premises
  4. Category 4: for operation in premises with artificially regulated climate conditions, such as heated, cooled, or ventilated production rooms, conditioned or partially conditioned air, including well-ventilated underground spaces (no influence of sunlight, precipitation, wind, sand, or dust; no or minimal effect of diffused sunlight and condensation)
  5. Category 5: for operation in high-humidity premises (e.g., unheated and non-ventilated underground areas including mines, basements, ship compartments where water presence or frequent moisture condensation on walls and ceilings is possible, such as in some holds, or in some workshops of textile or hydrometallurgical production)
