Low pressure centrifugal fan

Low-pressure centrifugal fan of the VC 4-75 #4 series (VR 88-72.1-5.5, VR 80-75-5) with electric motor Electric motor 4VR S2 100 4.0 Power kW 3000 Vol./Min made from dissimilar materials for explosive environments
This fan is designed for ventilation or air conditioning systems handling explosive gas-vapor-air mixtures of categories 1 and 2, groups T1, T2, T3, according to the classification of the "Rules for Electrical Installations" (PUE), which do not cause accelerated corrosion of the materials in the airflow section of the fans. These mixtures must not exceed a temperature of 80 °C, and the content of fibrous materials, sticky substances, dust, and other solid impurities must not exceed 100 mg/m³ under moderate (U) climate conditions (placement category 3) and tropical (T) climate conditions (placement category 2) in accordance with DSTU 15150. The permissible ambient temperature ranges from -40°C to +40°C (+40°C when equipped with tropical-design electric motors).
The housing and blades of explosion-proof fan impellers are made from material pairs (Steel-Brass or Steel-Aluminum) that are not hazardous in terms of ignition from friction sparks according to DSTU 22782.0-81.

Application of centrifugal fans VC 4-75 VZ #4 w/motor 4VR S2 100 4 kW 3000 rpm (VR 88-72.1-5.5, VR 80-75-5):
- Air conditioning systems
- Ventilation systems
- Air heating systems
- Other sanitary and industrial purposes
The centrifugal fan VC 4-75 VZ #4 w/motor 4VR S2 100 4 kW 3000 rpm (VR 88-72.1-5.5, VR 80-75-5) is operated under moderate climate conditions at ambient temperatures from -40 °C to +40 °C. The temperature of the transported medium must not exceed 80 °C.
Operating principle of the centrifugal fan VC 4-75 VZ #4 w/motor 4VR S2 100 4 kW 3000 rpm (VR 88-72.1-5.5, VR 80-75-5):
Air, by receiving energy from the impeller blades, enters the fan under the influence of centrifugal force at a 90-degree angle and is directed radially to the spiral-shaped scroll casing. Inside the scroll, the air moves along its spiral path and is discharged under pressure through the outlet nozzle.
Completeness of the centrifugal fan VC 4-75 #4 made from dissimilar metals:
The fan VC 4-75 #4 (VR 88-72.1-5.5, VR 80-75-5) with the electric motor Electric motor 4VR S2 100 4.0 Power kW 3000 Vol./Min includes the following main components:
- Spiral casing
- Impeller
- Base frame
- Collector
- Electric motor Electric motor 4VR S2 100 4.0 Power kW 3000 Vol./Min
The impeller consists of a front and rear disk, 12 sheet blades, and a hub.
The base frame of the fan is welded. The base has an opening for installation on vibration isolators or a foundation. The electric motor and protective cover are mounted on the frame.
The conical collector for directing air to the impeller is fixed on the inlet nozzle. The overlap between the collector and the front disk of the impeller is adjusted by axial movement of the collector within the inlet nozzle.
Orientation of the radial fan housing with right-hand (RH) and left-hand (LH) rotation, as viewed from the suction side:
- a) Right-hand rotation
- b) Left-hand rotation
Note on placement categories depending on climatic conditions:
Category 1: For outdoor use (exposed to the full range of climatic factors typical for the given macroclimatic regions).
Category 2: For use under a canopy or indoors (in volumes) where air temperature and humidity fluctuations are not significantly different from those outdoors and where there is relatively free access to outside air, e.g., in tents, enclosures, trailers, metal rooms without thermal insulation, and in the enclosure of category 1 equipment (absence of direct exposure to solar radiation and precipitation).
Category 3: For use in enclosed spaces with natural ventilation and without artificially controlled climate conditions, where temperature and humidity fluctuations and the effects of sand and dust are significantly lower than outdoors, e.g., in insulated metal, stone, concrete, or wooden buildings (no exposure to precipitation, direct solar radiation; significant reduction in wind; significant reduction or absence of diffuse solar radiation and moisture condensation).
Category 4: For use in rooms with artificially controlled climate conditions, e.g., in closed heated, cooled, and ventilated production spaces; in rooms with conditioned or partially conditioned air, and other well-ventilated underground spaces (no exposure to direct solar radiation, precipitation, wind, external sand and dust; absence or significant reduction of diffuse solar radiation and moisture condensation).
Category 5: For use in rooms with high humidity (e.g., unheated and unventilated underground rooms, including mines, basements, in soil, in ship or other marine compartments, and other areas where prolonged presence of water or frequent condensation on walls and ceilings is possible, such as some cargo holds or workshops of textile, hydrometallurgical industries, etc.).
D/Dn – the diameter ratio fan impeller to the nominal diameter of the impeller. The impellers, which diameters differ from the nominal one, are called co-efficient impellers. The ratio of the diameter of the fan impeller to the nominal diameter of the impeller could be: 0.9, 0.95, 1.05, 1.1.
