The low-pressure centrifugal fan of the VC 4-75 #4 series (VR 88-72.1-5.5, VR 80-75-5) with electric motor Electric motor 4VR 100 L2 5.5 Power kW, 3000 Vol./Min, made of dissimilar materials, is intended for use in explosive environments.
This fan is designed for ventilation or air conditioning systems handling explosive gas-vapor-air mixtures of categories 1 and 2, groups T1, T2, T3 according to the classification of the "Rules for Electrical Installations" (PUE), which do not cause accelerated corrosion of the airflow section materials. These mixtures must not exceed a temperature of 80 °C, and the content of fibrous materials, sticky substances, dust, and other solid impurities must not exceed 100 mg/m³. Permissible climatic conditions: moderate (U) climate – placement category 3, and tropical (T) climate – category 2, according to DSTU 15150. Ambient temperature: from -40 °C to +40 °C (up to +40 °C when using tropical-design motors).
The casing and impeller blades of explosion-proof fans are made from safe material pairs (steel-brass or steel-aluminum), which do not ignite from friction sparks according to DSTU 22782.0-81.

The fan operates in moderate climate conditions with ambient temperature from -40 °C to +40 °C. The temperature of the transported medium must not exceed 80 °C.
Operating principle:
Air enters the fan under centrifugal force at a 90° angle after receiving energy from the impeller blades. It then moves radially toward the spiral casing (scroll) and, moving along its path, is discharged under pressure through the outlet nozzle.

The impeller consists of front and rear disks, 12 blades, and a hub. The base frame has an opening for mounting on vibration isolators or a foundation. The collector is mounted on the inlet nozzle and adjusted by axial displacement.

Placement categories by climatic conditions:
- Category 1: Outdoor use, exposed to all climatic factors.
- Category 2: Under canopy or in rooms with access to outside air (tents, containers, etc.).
- Category 3: Enclosed spaces with natural ventilation (reduced impact of dust, humidity, temperature fluctuations).
- Category 4: Rooms with controlled climatic conditions (heating, air conditioning, ventilation).
- Category 5: Humid environments (basements, mines, cargo holds, production areas with high humidity).
D/Dn – the diameter ratio fan impeller to the nominal diameter of the impeller. The impellers, which diameters differ from the nominal one, are called co-efficient impellers. The ratio of the diameter of the fan impeller to the nominal diameter of the impeller could be: 0.9, 0.95, 1.05, 1.1.
