Description

The centrifugal low-pressure fan of the VC 4-70 VZ (vzryvozaschischennyj) #3,15 series (VR 88-72.1-5.5, VR 80-75-5) with an Electric motor 4VR 80 B2 2.2 Power kW 3000 Vol./Min electric motor is manufactured from dissimilar metals for explosive environments.

This fan is intended for ventilation or air conditioning systems handling explosive gas-air mixtures of the 1st and 2nd categories, groups T1, T2, and T3 according to the "Rules for Electrical Installation" (PUE) classification, which do not cause accelerated corrosion of the fan's airflow parts. These mixtures must not exceed a temperature of 80 °C, and the content of fibrous materials, sticky substances, dust, and other solid impurities must not exceed 100 mg/m³ under moderate (U) climate conditions (placement category 3) and tropical (T) climate conditions (placement category 2). The permissible ambient temperature range is from -40 °C to +40 °C (+40 °C when equipped with tropical-design electric motors).

The casing and impeller blades of explosion-proof fans are made from material pairs (Steel-Brass or Steel-Aluminum) that are safe from ignition by friction sparks according to DSTU 22782.0-81.

Operating principle of the centrifugal fan VC 4-70 VZ #3.15 w/motor 4VR 80 В2 2.2 kW 3000 rpm (VR 88-72.1-5.5, VR 80-75-5):
Air, gaining energy from the impeller blades, enters the fan under the influence of centrifugal force at a 90-degree angle and is directed radially into the spiral-shaped scroll casing. As the air moves through the spiral casing, it is pressurized and directed out through the fan's outlet.

The impeller consists of a front and rear disc, 12 sheet blades, and a hub.

The fan's base frame is welded. The base features an opening for installation on vibration isolators or a foundation. The electric motor and casing are mounted onto the base.

The conical collector for guiding air to the impeller is mounted on the inlet duct. The overlap between the collector and the impeller’s front disc can be adjusted by axial movement of the collector within the inlet duct.
