The fan VC 14-46 VZ (VZI) #2,5 (VR-287-46.1) is designed for ventilation or air conditioning systems of explosive gas-vapor-air mixtures of the 1st and 2nd categories of groups T1, T2, T3 according to the "Electrical Installation Rules" (EIR) classification, which do not cause accelerated corrosion of the materials of the flow part of the fans (air aggressiveness up to 80C), do not contain fibrous materials, sticky substances, dust and other solid impurities not more than 100 mg/m3 under moderate (U) climate (placement category 3) and tropical (T) climate (placement category 2).
Fans of the VC 14-46 VZ series (VR-287-46.1) are not used for the transfer of gas-vapor-air mixtures:
A) containing explosives, additional oxygen, explosive dust;
B) from technological installations in which explosive substances are heated above their self-ignition temperature or are under excess pressure. Fans with increased spark protection are used for servicing explosive premises of classes V-1a and B-1b according to the "Electrical Installation Rules" (EIR) classification, subject to normal operating conditions.

The impeller consists of a front and rear disk, 32 sheet blades, and a hub. The fan frame is welded. The base has a hole for installation on vibration isolators or foundation. The electric motor and the casing are mounted on the frame. The collector of a conical shape for supplying air to the impeller is fixed on the inlet pipe. The gap between the collector and the front disk of the impeller is adjusted by axial movement of the collector in the inlet pipe.
