The medium-pressure centrifugal fan of the VC 14-46 #4 series (VR-287-46.1) with the Electric motor AIR 100 S4 3.0 Power kW 1500 Vol./Min electric motor is intended for general industrial use and is made of carbon steel.
The VC 14-46 #4 fan is a medium-pressure fan designed for both ventilation systems and air conditioning systems, as well as other gas mixtures whose aggressiveness towards carbon steel does not exceed that of air, at temperatures up to 80 °C. The fan must not transport sticky substances, fibrous materials, or dust and other solid particles in concentrations exceeding 100 mg/m³. Suitable for moderate (U) climate (placement category 3) and tropical (T) climate (placement category 2) according to DSTU 15150.
This model is an analogue of medium-pressure centrifugal fans such as VR-287-46.1, VR 320-46, VR-300-46, VR 300-45, VR 289-46, VR 15-45.

Operating principle of the centrifugal fan VC 14-46 #4 w/motor AIR 100 S4 3 kW 1500 rpm (VR-287-46.1):
Air, receiving energy from the impeller blades, enters the fan under the action of centrifugal force at an angle of 90 degrees and flows radially into the spiral housing; in the housing, moving along the spiral-shaped casing, it is directed under pressure through the fan outlet.

The VC 14-46 #4 (VR-287-46.1) fan, equipped with the Electric motor AIR 100 S4 3.0 Power kW 1500 Vol./Min electric motor, consists of the following main units:

The impeller consists of a front and rear disc, 32 sheet blades, and a hub.
The fan base is welded. The base has a hole for installation on vibration isolators or a foundation. The electric motor and the cover are mounted on the base frame.
The conical collector for air supply to the impeller is mounted on the inlet pipe. The overlap between the collector and the front disc of the impeller is regulated by axial movement of the collector in the inlet pipe.

Note on placement categories depending on climatic conditions:
- Category 1: For outdoor operation (exposed to a set of climatic factors characteristic of the respective macroclimatic regions).

- Category 3: For operation indoors with natural ventilation without artificially controlled climate conditions, where temperature and humidity fluctuations and exposure to sand and dust are much less than outdoors, e.g., insulated metal, stone, concrete, wooden premises (no exposure to precipitation, direct sunlight; significant reduction in wind, scattered solar radiation and moisture condensation).
- Category 4: For operation in rooms with artificially controlled climate conditions, e.g., heated or cooled and ventilated production premises, rooms with conditioned or partially conditioned air, including well-ventilated underground rooms (no exposure to direct sunlight, precipitation, wind, sand, or outdoor dust; no or significantly reduced exposure to scattered solar radiation and moisture condensation).
- Category 5: For operation in rooms with high humidity (e.g., unheated and unventilated underground rooms, including mines, basements, soil, ship holds and other rooms where water may be present for long periods or frequent moisture condensation on walls and ceilings, such as in certain textile, hydrometallurgical workshops, etc.).
