Description

Application of Speed washer SIOT-6
 Speed washer SIOT-6 is used for cleaning dusty air in exhaust ventilation systems. It effectively removes various types of washable dust, except for cementing, fibrous, and condensation aerosols. The recommended initial dust concentration in the air is up to 5000 mg/m³.

Design features
 Speed washer SIOT-6 is a straight-flow wet dust collector in which dust is captured in two ways:

  • settles on the moistened walls of the housing under the action of centrifugal forces;
  • is additionally washed with water sprayed by the air stream.

For operation, the washer requires a constant water supply under a pressure of 1 kgf/cm² to the upper nozzles. The optimal inlet air velocity is 14–20 m/s. In these modes, the washer provides a capacity from 12.5 to 280 thousand m³/h. The cleaning efficiency reaches 95% at 20 m/s and about 90% at 14 m/s (for dust particles smaller than 5 μm).

Versions
 Speed washer SIOT-6 is manufactured in both left-hand and right-hand versions. It is recommended to install the units on the suction side (before the fan), with mandatory drainage of water from the lower part of the fan casing.

Installation
 Washers are installed on metal pedestals at a height of 2.5 m from the bottom to the floor. Installation on building floors is also possible.
