Flue Gas Fan of the D 3,5M Series with electric motor Electric motor AIR 90 L4 2.2 Power kW 1500 Vol./Min, made of carbon steel.

This fan is designed to remove gases from low-capacity boiler units with a capacity of up to 1 ton of steam per hour, operating on gas or fuel oil. The temperature of the transported gases must not exceed 180 °C for fans with impellers made of ST3 steel and 400 °C for those with impellers made of heat-resistant 09G2S steel.

Ambient temperature range: from -40 °C to +40 °C.

D 3.5M flue gas fans are also used by industrial enterprises for sanitary and technical purposes and are installed in metallurgical plants, thermal power stations, and others.

The welded spiral housing for the D 3.5M w/motor AIR 90 L4 2.2 kW 1500 rpm fan is made of black (carbon) steel. The impeller (with cantilever mounting) has forward-curved blades. It includes a frame, a collector, and a three-phase asynchronous AIR motor with squirrel-cage rotor (2.2 or 3.0 kW, for 380V/50Hz networks).

The D 3.5M w/motor AIR 90 L4 2.2 kW 1500 rpm flue gas fan in configuration No. 1 has its impeller mounted directly on the motor shaft, which makes the unit compact. It is designed for continuous operation. Wear resistance is ensured by thickened scroll walls and hard alloy surfacing on the blades. Smooth gas flow is achieved due to specially selected inlet and outlet angles of the blades.

The fan can be produced for right-hand or left-hand rotation, and the scroll housing can be rotated from 0 to 270 degrees. Capacity of the D 3.5M fan: 2250–5300 or 2250–6000 depending on motor size. Total pressure: 730–800 Pa.

Purpose of D 3.5M w/motor AIR 90 L4 2.2 kW 1500 rpm Flue Gas Fans:

The D 3.5M w/motor AIR 90 L4 2.2 kW 1500 rpm fan is intended for use in thermal energy as an exhaust device and for equipping steam and hot water boilers with balanced draft of low and medium capacity (up to 25 tons of steam per hour or 20 MW), operating on various fuels. These fans must be equipped with an efficient ash collection system. They are designed for continuous operation both indoors and outdoors in temperate climates. Startup is allowed when the temperature in the scroll is not below -30 °C. The maximum gas inlet temperature should not exceed +180 °C.

Use is also permitted with gas and fuel oil boilers with balanced draft, as well as in technological units of enterprises across various industries for sanitary and production purposes (at thermal power plants, metallurgical plants, chemical industry in gas purification and dust collection systems, etc.).

Operating Principle of the D 3.5M w/motor AIR 90 L4 2.2 kW 1500 rpm Flue Gas Fan:

The fan operates by transferring rotational energy from the impeller mounted on the motor shaft to the air. The air mixture enters through the collector, passes into the channels between the impeller blades, and moves to the impeller periphery under the action of centrifugal force. The flue gases mixed with air are turned 90° radially and directed through the scroll to the fan outlet.

Operating Conditions of the D 3.5M w/motor AIR 90 L4 2.2 kW 1500 rpm Flue Gas Fan:

  • Since the housing is made of carbon steel, the temperature of the incoming gases must not exceed +180 °C.
  • Startup of the D 3.5M fan is allowed at an air temperature in the flow section not below -30 °C.
  • Ambient temperature range: -40 °C to +40 °C.
  • RMS vibration velocity from external sources at the installation site must not exceed 2 mm/s.
  • Dust content of the exhausted gases must not exceed 2 g/m³.
