Flue Gas Fan of the D 2,5 Series

The flue gas fan of the D 2,5 series with electric motor [el.name] [el.option_values.52.value] [el.option_values.52.name] [el.option_values.41.value] [el.option_values.41.name_short] is made of carbon steel.

This fan is designed for extracting flue gases from low-capacity boiler units with a capacity of up to 1 ton of steam per hour, operating on gas or fuel oil. The temperature of the transported gases must not exceed 180 °C for fans with impellers made of ST3 steel and 400 °C for those with impellers made of heat-resistant steel grade 09G2S.

Ambient temperature range: from -40 °C to +40 °C.

D 2.5 flue gas fans are also used by enterprises for sanitary and technical purposes and are installed in metallurgical plants, thermal power stations, and other facilities.

The welded spiral housing of the D 2.5 w/motor AIR 71 V4 0.75 kW 1500 rpm fan is made of black metal (carbon steel), with a cantilever-mounted impeller featuring forward-curved blades, base frame, collector, and a three-phase squirrel-cage induction motor (AIR).

In design configuration No. 1, the impeller is mounted directly onto the motor shaft, giving the assembly compact dimensions. Designed for long-term operation, wear resistance is ensured by thickened scroll walls and hard alloy surfacing on the blades. Smooth gas flow is achieved by specially selected blade inlet and outlet angles.

The fan can be manufactured in right-hand or left-hand rotation; the scroll housing can be rotated from 0 to 270 degrees. D 2.5 fan performance: 3000–4300 (depending on motor size), total pressure 1800–1900 Pa.

D 2.5 w/motor AIR 71 V4 0.75 kW 1500 rpm fans are intended for use in thermal power engineering as exhaust units for equipping steam and hot water boilers with balanced draft, with low to medium capacities (up to 25 tons of steam per hour or 20 MW), running on various types of fuel. Flue gas fans must be equipped with an effective ash collection system. They are designed for continuous operation indoors and outdoors in temperate climates. Fan startup is allowed when the temperature in the scroll is not lower than -30 °C. The maximum temperature of gases at the fan inlet must not exceed +250 °C.

These fans may also be used on gas and fuel oil boilers with balanced draft, and in industrial process installations across various sectors for sanitary and industrial purposes (thermal power plants, metallurgy, chemical industry for gas purification and dust collection, etc.).

Operating Principle of the D 2.5 w/motor AIR 71 V4 0.75 kW 1500 rpm Flue Gas Fan:

The fan operates by moving air through the transfer of rotational energy from the impeller mounted on the motor shaft. The air mixture entering through the collector passes into the channels between the impeller blades and, under centrifugal force, moves toward the outer edge of the impeller. Flue gases mixed with air are deflected 90 degrees in the radial direction and are discharged through the spiral housing to the fan outlet.

Operating Conditions for D 2.5 w/motor AIR 71 V4 0.75 kW 1500 rpm Flue Gas Fans:

  • Gas inlet temperature must not exceed +250 °C due to the carbon steel housing
  • Startup is permitted when the air temperature inside the scroll is not lower than -30 °C
  • Ambient temperature range: from -40 °C to +40 °C
  • RMS vibration velocity from external sources at the installation site must not exceed 2 mm/s

Dust content of extracted gases must not exceed 2
