Compact Protective Section MZS
The Compact Protective Section MZS is designed to protect ventilation systems from the penetration of a shock wave. The section's construction consists of a rectangular frame (1) made of profile steel with welded stiffening ribs forming cells. These cells are covered by flexible blades-louvers (2).
Under excess pressure from a shock wave, the louvers fit tightly against the grid, preventing the wave from entering the ventilation system. Once the pressure drops, they return to their initial position under the action of springs. The tilt angle of the louver plates relative to the grid plane can be adjusted between 0–45° by raising or lowering the movable frame (3) using adjustment screws (4).
