Purpose of cyclones SCN-40-1200
The high-efficiency cyclone dust collector SCN-40-1200 is designed for cleaning gases and aspiration air from fine and medium-dispersed dust. The particle size captured with 50% efficiency in the SCN-40 cyclone is the best among all NIIogaz cyclones and equals 1 μm. A high degree of purification is achieved due to the increased intensity of the gas swirling motion inside the cyclone body and the reduced speed of radial flow towards the exhaust pipe.
Advantages of cyclones SCN-40-1200
- Air cleaning efficiency is 90–98%
- Can be used at any industrial facility
- No analogues
- Affordable price
- Simple and reliable design
Operating principle of cyclones SCN-40-1200
Gas cleaning occurs due to its spiral movement down the cyclone body. The swirling of the flow creates centrifugal force, which separates solid particles from the gas, directing them to the cyclone walls, after which they settle into the hopper.
Material movement inside the cyclone:
- Gas, dust, sand, and metal enter the cyclone through a side inlet, where the cleaning process begins.
- Under centrifugal force, solid particles reach the cyclone walls and gradually move down into the hopper. Flow velocity is 3–8 m/s, with 3–7 revolutions.
- Dust accumulates in a special hopper.
Design of cyclones SCN-40-1200
Cyclones are made of stainless steel (for the food industry) or carbon steel. Production from other materials is possible upon request. All openings are equipped with flanges for convenient connection of elements into a single system. The product is coated with protective paint and wrapped in film. Right-hand and left-hand versions are available. The SCN-40 model can be combined into battery units from 2 to 10 pcs.
The cyclone is supplied with a hopper. Its shape, metal thickness, dimensions, and price depend on operating conditions and customer requirements. The hopper is manufactured considering cleaning intervals.
Installation of cyclones SCN-40-1200
The gas flow is forced by a dust fan into the SCN-40 cyclone, where cleaning occurs. The fan can be installed either before or after the cyclone:
- When installed before the cyclone, dust fans are recommended.
- When installed after the cyclone, fans VC 14-46 may be used (if air swirling is present).
The price of cyclone SCN-40-1200 is indicated without the cost of the hopper, pedestal, and dust lock (calculated separately).
