General Information about Cyclone CP-2-1800
The application area of the cyclone is ventilation. The universal CP-2 cyclone is designed for cleaning large volumes of air (from 17,000 m3) in order to separate dust. The equipment is used for air filtration after drying systems or when burning solid fuel in a dust-like state.
Important! The CP-2 cyclone is not recommended for transporting fibrous or sticky dust, as this may cause rapid failure. For such tasks, it is better to use RISI cyclones.
The main feature of CP-2 is its versatility: it can be used in almost any industrial sector. Most often, cyclones are included in projects involving large volumes of air purification. When made from special materials, this cyclone can be used in explosive environments. The maximum temperature of the transported gas must not exceed 420°C.
According to GOST 15150-69, CP-2 cyclones can be used in three climatic groups: tropical, temperate, and low-temperature regions. They are produced only in a single version with an internal diameter from 1400 to 4250 mm.

Safety Valves of Cyclone CP-2-1800
CP-2 cyclones are equipped with special safety valves, installed on the cyclone cover and inlet pipe. They are manufactured in compliance with explosion safety standards required for handling dust-like fuel. The diameter and number of valves depend on the cyclone size.
According to safety regulations, platforms and ladders should be provided for quick access to the valves. If the cyclone is not intended for explosive environments, it can be supplied without valves upon customer request.
Valves are supplied disassembled, and installation is performed by the customer.
Design of Cyclone CP-2-1800
The CP-2 cyclone consists of a cylindrical part (1/3) and a conical part (2/3). The conical body ensures intensive gas purification. The standard material is carbon steel, but other materials are available upon request.
The design includes safety valves on the inlet and outlet pipes, with sizes depending on the cyclone dimensions. The unit is equipped with a pedestal and ladder for easy access to hatches. Dust is collected in a small hopper to reduce the risk of ignition.
Hopper of Cyclone CP-2-1800
The hopper and cyclone are hermetically welded and connected to improve cleaning efficiency. The purification level depends on the dust type, fan, cyclone model, duct thickness, and other factors. CP-2 cyclones are similar in functionality to CN-15 cyclones, with minor performance differences.
Maximum pressure — 6000 Pa. The fan can be installed either before or after the cyclone, providing air pressurization or rarefaction in the system. Fan selection should account for system resistance and performance.
