Application of cyclones CN-15-300x1
CN-15-300x1 is a universal and the most demanded type of cyclone for cleaning air from dry dust. It operates efficiently in crushing and grinding installations and is used for transporting bulk materials and fly ash.

Cyclones CN-15-300x1 are used for cleaning dry gases released in technological processes. At the same time, they are not recommended for use when:

• the gas medium contains a liquid phase or condensate;
• the air contains sticky or fibrous dust;
• operating conditions are associated with toxic or explosive environments.

Operating principle of cyclone CN-15-300x1
The cyclone operates on the action of centrifugal forces. Dust-laden gas enters the body tangentially at high speed, forming a vortex flow. Dust particles are thrown against the cyclone walls, the gas velocity decreases below the particle settling velocity, and the dust settles in the lower part of the body, falling into the collecting hopper. Cleaned air exits through the exhaust pipe.

• Can be manufactured in explosion-proof design (explosion valves, minimal hopper);
• For increased wear resistance, the most vulnerable parts of the body can be reinforced (lower part of the cone, “scroll” inlet);
• Cyclones with a diameter less than 800 mm are not recommended for abrasive dust due to increased wear;
• Material of construction – carbon steel (operation down to -40°C), for lower temperatures low-alloy steels are used;
• Available in single and group versions (with right- or left-hand flow direction);
• May be equipped with a pyramidal hopper for dust collection.

The cyclone is mounted in a system with a dust fan:

• The fan can be placed before the cyclone (dust fan recommended);
• Or after the cyclone – using VC 14-46 with an air straightener.
