Purpose of Dust Collection Units AP 1800
The bag-type dust collection unit AP 1800 is designed to remove medium-dispersed, fine, dry, non-fibrous, easily cleanable, and non-sticky dust that is generated during metalworking, handling of bulk materials, and transfer operations, accompanied by the release of harmful particles up to 3 microns in size. It also captures dust generated near enclosed abrasive wheels of sharpening, grinding, and polishing machines.
Dust collection units AP 1800 can be operated as end-point devices in recirculation systems or as part of an industrial ventilation system.
Design of Dust Collection Units AP 1800
The housing of the ventilation dust collection unit is made of sheet steel and coated with high-quality powder paint, providing strong protection against environmental influences.
The unit consists of a fan, filters, upper and lower housings, suction nozzle, dust hatch with cover, and a manual filter shaking mechanism with handle. The electric motor is connected to the electromagnetic starter of the grinding machine for simultaneous operation.
The AP 1800 dust collection cyclone performs two-stage purification of air extracted from the working area and includes:
- Inertial stage – dry cyclone
- Mechanical stage – bag-type fabric filter
The purified air passes through the fan and is discharged outside via the top of the unit housing. Filters must be shaken manually using the handle every 3–4 hours of operation (with the motor turned off).
Dust collection unit AP 1800 is available in the following configurations:
- With silencer
- With energy-efficient and quiet fan
The unit is delivered fully assembled and ready for use. Mobile or stationary configuration is specified at the time of order.
Operating Conditions of Dust Collection Units AP 1800
The unit is manufactured in climate version UHL 4.2 according to GOST 15150-69. Operating conditions: indoor installation in Category D production areas as per ONTP 24-86; storage conditions – 2 СО; transportation conditions – category 5 according to GOST 15150-69.
The air stream being cleaned must not contain explosive mixtures, and its temperature must not exceed 80 °C.
The electric motor and housing must be reliably grounded.
