Airtight Valve KGR
Installed in general industrial ventilation systems and designed to reliably isolate one room from another or disconnect rooms from the external environment. Intended for moving ventilation system air without mechanical impurities, sticky or fibrous substances. The valve is a shut-off device and is not intended to regulate airflow. The operating temperature range of the medium varies from -45°C to +40°C. The valve can be operated in temperate (U) climate conditions, placement category 2 (U2) according to DSTU EN 60204-1:2015.
Drive types:
- with manual drive;
- with manual gearbox;
- with electric actuator equipped with a manual override.
Valve installation position:
For valves with electric actuators:
- on vertical ducts – any position;
- on horizontal ducts – the actuator must be in the upper hemisphere relative to the horizontal plane (valve shaft above the duct axis).
For valves with manual drive: any position regardless of duct orientation.
Operating principle of the airtight valve:
When opening, the electric actuator or manual drive transmits rotation to the shaft connected to the disc. At the beginning of the rotation (10–20°), the disc moves away from the seat, aided by one or more springs. With further rotation, the disc and lever are positioned parallel to the valve passage axis, opening the flow path. Closing occurs in reverse: the disc first turns 90°, facing the seat, then with an additional 10–20° rotation, it is pressed against the seat. The valve is made of carbon steel with a powder coating as per catalog.
