VZP cyclone dust collectors

VZP class dust collector — dust collector with counter-rotating swirling flows for cleaning the air from fine and medium-dispersed dust, which is formed during the processing of rocks, etc. The operation of the VZP cyclone is based on two air and gas flows, thanks to which the unit operates stably in different production areas.

Such dust collectors are effectively used in pneumatic transport and aspiration systems for both vertical and long main channels. They are relevant in the food industry, when working with sand, cement, silicate and asbestos dust, as well as in areas where dry cleaning of mixtures is required. If you need to buy a complete set in Kiev — we will help you choose a solution for your conditions without changing the design.

Marking of a VZP class dust collector

Example of the designation — «VZP - 400», where:

  • «VZP» — the presence of counter-rotating flows.
  • «400» — the internal diameter of the cylinder, mm.

Even if the initial parameters of the dusty air in the process are changed, marking by diameter allows you to correctly select the device for real operating modes and hydraulic resistance of the network.

VZP marking is given without cost — prices for cyclones and the price of a cyclone-dust collector are determined by the configuration, material and climatic performance. For the standard size, the dust collector VZP-200 is the most effective universal solution in its group, i.e. VZP-200 is the most effective universal dust collector for a wide range of tasks.

Design advantages

VZP class dust collectors are made of carbon and stainless steel sheets. Flanges welded to the holes are necessary for connecting various elements. Adapters made of galvanized steel are in demand as connecting elements of various sizes. The air for cleaning is supplied simultaneously to two channels of the unit using one fan.

This dust collector can be made in a right-hand/left-hand version. The performance of VZP class dust collector models varies from 1000 to 23000 m³/h, the diameter of the cylindrical part is 200 ÷ 1300 mm at a maximum working pressure of 1307 Pa. The inlet velocity of the contaminated flow for these cyclones is 18.7 m/s, the resistance level is from 1100 to 1600 Pa. The efficiency of cleaning contaminated air reaches 95%-99%.

Two symmetrical channels of the housing evenly load one fan, which reduces turbulent losses and wall wear in areas of intense swirl, due to which stable operation is achieved even with uneven supply.

The unit can be manufactured in the UHL climatic version for operation in climatic zones with a moderate climate, as well as in versions with reinforced inserts for abrasive environments, where increased wear resistance requirements are imposed on the cyclone.

Operating principle

The VZP class dust collector operates by the method of centrifugal separation of foreign particles from the gas medium. Two flows (main/additional) of the cleaned medium enter the dust collector, bypassing the inlet pipes of the housings — tangential swirlers.

Cleaning begins with the twisting of the main flow, which moves from top to bottom along a given trajectory. The additional flow moves from bottom to top along the axis. Centrifugal force pushes the particles to the walls, where they settle in the hopper and accumulate until planned removal. The air freed from dust is discharged through the central exhaust pipe, which ensures stable resolution of the device.

In the technical documentation, the synonym "dust collector" may also be found - this refers to the same cyclone-type device with centrifugal separation of solid inclusions from gas. This cyclone operation scheme is convenient for integration into pneumatic transport systems without changing existing routes.

Advantages

  • Versatile for various industries and systems, in particular, they are effectively used in pneumatic transport systems.
  • High level of purification from fine dust due to clear swirling of flows.
  • Relatively low cost compared to filtration systems, including the ability to use it as a filter in the previous stage.
  • Stable efficiency, even if the initial flow parameters in the process are changed.

Field of application

The first models of VZP cyclones, developed by the Moscow State Textile Academy, were focused on working with fibrous types of dust.

These units were widely used in light industry and in the processing of textile and linen materials. As a result of modernization, the scope of application will be The range has been expanded, and today the unit is actively working in aspiration systems and in pneumatic transport systems for cleaning gas-air environments from fine and medium-dispersed dust. The solutions are relevant in the mining sector, when working with sand, ore dust, cement, clay, as well as in the food industry for local suction without changing the technology.

The VZP class dust collector is one of the most effective among dust collection units in the CIS countries, which is successfully used in the food industry. With fine fractions, it works many times more efficiently than close analogues of the CN-15 type, and is easily integrated into both vertical and horizontal channels of existing networks without expensive alterations.

Operational features

The VZP class dust collector is manufactured for temperate climate regions — placement according to the fourth category, UHL performance according to GOST 15150-69 standards. VZP class cyclones work in tandem with a fan placed in front of the unit. The following models of dust fans of the VZP class are mainly used: 5-45, 6-45, 6-46, 7-40.

When working with abrasive dust, it is advisable to make the dust collector from thick metal by special order and use it as a filter at the first stage of cleaning. The units are manufactured for work in climatic zones with a moderate climate, and the climatic version of the UHL allows them to be safely mounted outside buildings on the ducts of aspiration systems.

To ensure durability and ease of installation, the connection units are made on flanges, adapters - made of galvanized steel. Upon request, the unit can be manufactured with additional anti-corrosion protection: the VZP body is painted and packaged, that is, painted and packaged before delivery.

Prompt delivery across Ukraine from a warehouse or to order. If you plan to buy a cyclone kit in Ukraine - we will help you complete it with a bunker, fittings and fans.

Please note: prices for cyclones depend on the material, wall thickness, climatic design and performance. The approximate price for a cyclone dust collector is agreed individually after selecting the configuration for your network. Technical parameters and marking of the VZP are given without cost in the description for the convenience of preliminary selection.
