Cyclone dust collectors VZP

A VZP class dust collector is a dust collector with counter-rotating swirling flows for cleaning the air from fine and medium-dispersed dust, which is formed during the processing of rocks, working with sand, etc. A dust collector of this class is effective in freeing the air from sand, clay, cement, silicate, asbestos dust, as well as when working with exhaust gases, in which the dust listed above is present in a suspended state.

Design advantages of the cyclone and the list of sizes

VZP class dust collectors are made of carbon and stainless steel sheets. Flanges welded to the holes are necessary for connecting various elements. Galvanized steel adapters are in demand as connecting holes of various sizes. Gas air for cleaning is supplied simultaneously to two channels of the unit using one fan, due to which the purification of gas-air environments is achieved. This dust collector unit can be made in a right-sided/left-sided version. The performance of VZP class dust collector models varies from 1000 to 23000 m3/h, the diameter of the cylindrical part is 200 ÷ 1300 millimeters at a maximum operating pressure of 1307 Pa. The inlet velocity of the contaminated flow for these cyclones is 18.7 m/s and is based on two air flows, the resistance level is from 1100 to 1600 Pa. The efficiency of cleaning contaminated air reaches 95% - 99%.

The principle of operation of the VZP-200

The VZP class dust collector operates by the method of centrifugal separation of foreign particles from the gas medium. Two vertical flows (main/additional) of the cleaned medium enter the dust collector, bypassing the inlet pipes of the housings - tangential swirlers. Cleaning begins with the twisting of the main flow, which moves from top to bottom along a given trajectory and settles in the bunker. The additional flow moves from bottom to top along the axis. Centrifugal force pushes foreign particles towards the walls, which then settle in the accumulator - hopper. The dry air freed from dust is directed outside into the dust collector, bypassing the central exhaust pipe.

Field of application

The first models of VZP cyclones, developed by the Moscow State Textile Academy, were focused on working with fibrous types of dust. These units were widely used in light industry, in textile and linen processing industries, and also used as a filter. As a result of the gradual modernization of the design of VZP class dust collectors, their scope of application has been expanded. The VZP cyclone is in demand in aspiration systems and pneumatic transport as dust collection equipment for cleaning gas-air environments from fine and medium-dispersed dust. Today, these units are effectively and successfully used at mining enterprises, the food industry, when working with sand, for work in climatic zones, ore and asbestos dust, cement, as well as clay, pneumatic transport systems, etc. The VZP class dust collector is the most unique of the entire set of dust collection units in the CIS countries. It works twice as effectively with fine dust than its closest sibling, the TsN-15 class. It can be installed in virtually any production.

VZP dust collectors: Features of operation

VZP class dust collectors are manufactured for temperate climate areas - placement according to the fourth category, UHL performance according to the requirements of GOST 15150-69 standards. VZP class cyclones work in tandem with a fan placed in front of the unit. The following models of VZP class dust collectors are mainly used: 5-45, 6-45, 6-46, 7-40 in climatic zones with a temperate climate.
