VZP class dust collector – dust collector with opposite swirling flows for cleaning the air from finely dispersed and medium-dispersed dust. VZP-M class dust collector is a modernized version of its predecessor. This class of dust collectors has a higher efficiency of separation of finely dispersed dust. The dust collector of the VZP-M class is designed for the collection of dusts with a fibrous structure, medium/strongly sticking in aspiration installations and pneumatic transport systems.
An example of the designation is "VZP - M - 1200", where:
The design of the dust collector of the VZP-M class is supplemented with an upper auger of the snail type. It is due to its presence together with the conical shape of the body that the VZP-M cyclone achieves a higher degree of purification from finely dispersed dust. Dust collectors of the VZP-M class are made of sheets of carbon, stainless steel. To connect various elements to the holes, flanges are welded. Adapters, usually made of galvanized steel, are in demand as elements connecting holes of different sizes. Only one fan is needed for simultaneous air flow through two channels of the unit. The dust collector of this class is made in the right-hand/left-hand version. Productivity in models of dust collectors of the VZP-M class varies from 1000 to 17000 m3/h, the diameter of the cylindrical part – 300 ÷ 1300 millimeters. The optimum speed is 3.5 m/s. The efficiency of cleaning polluted air reaches 98% - 99%.
The dust collector of the VZP-M class performs its work by the method of centrifugal separation of solid suspended inclusions from the gas medium. Two air streams acquire a multi-directional twist. Cleaning begins with the twisting of the main flow rushing along a given trajectory from top to bottom. The additional flow, on the contrary, moves from the bottom up along the axis. Foreign particles pushed to the walls by centrifugal force are further collected in the accumulator – bunker Polluted air freed from dust rushes out, bypassing the central exhaust pipe.
Dust collectors of the VZP-M class are in demand in aspiration and pneumatic transport systems as dust-collecting equipment for cleaning gas-air media from medium-dispersed and fine-dispersed dust. Dust collectors have proven themselves well in industries where there are gases containing impurities: lime, soda, cement, shale, basalt, dolomites, calcium stearates, chalk, ash, sodium sulfates, etc. They are successfully used in the following industries: woodworking, chemical, food, light, textile, etc.
VZP-M class dust collector is used in temperate climate regions - placement according to the fourth category, UHL performance according to GOST 15150-69. Cyclones of the VZP-M class work in tandem with a dust fan of the VCP class, mainly of the following models: 5-45, 6-45, 6-46, 7-40. If greater productivity is required, dust collectors of the VZP-M class are combined into a group installation of two or four units with joint supply of upper and lower flows to swirlers and a hopper. When installing a dust collector of the VZP-M class behind the ceiling of the room after the fan (pumping operation) an umbrella is necessary to avoid the penetration of atmospheric precipitation into the system. When installing the dust collector to the fan (functioning on discharge), an unwinder is needed - a snail in order to reduce the overall hydraulic resistance of the system and, in particular, the load on the fan. When operating with an environment where there are high concentrations of abrasive, a dust collector of the VZP-M class, made to special order from thick metal, is required.
