UC-38 Cyclones. Technical characteristics

UC-38 class cyclones are designed to capture finely dispersed solid inclusions in aspiration units and pneumatic transport systems in order to prevent environmental pollution by production waste.

Design advantages of UC cyclones

UC-38 class cyclones are made of carbon and stainless steel, for ease of placement in place - right and left versions. In the first case, the flow rotates in the cyclone in the direction of the movement of the hands of the clock mechanism when observed from the location of the exhaust pipe, in the second - against the movement of the hands of the clock. A "snail" or "umbrella" is mounted on the exhaust pipe, depending on the location of the fan. The UTs-38-400 cyclone operates under vacuum - a "snail" is installed, under pressure - an "umbrella".

The productivity of the UTs-38 class cyclone models varies from 140 to 2040 m3/h, the diameter of the cylindrical part is 250÷850 millimeters, the working pressure is constantly 5000 Pa. The principle of operation The separation of fine debris from the contaminated air that has entered the UTs-38 cyclone through the side pipe occurs due to the rotational-downward movement of the air flow. Dust debris is thrown to the walls by centrifugal force, falls along a helical trajectory through the conical section of the cyclone into the dust collection hopper. The purified air flow is directed outwards through the upper opening of the cyclone.

UC-38 class cyclones are in demand in the hulling and grinding shops of cereal and flour mills. The plant also uses these units at woodworking enterprises for filtering technological emissions from fine sawdust, shavings, non-fibrous and non-sticky inclusions, and grinding dust.

Features of installation and operation, delivery in Ukraine

UC-38 class cyclones are manufactured in UHL climatic version for moderate and cold macroclimatic regions when used according to GOST 15150-69 - placement in categories 1, 2, 3, 4, in aspiration systems of production categories B, C, D, D (explosion and fire hazard). UC-38 class cyclones are mounted on both the suction and discharge sides of the fan. This is specified in the design documents for construction. Accordingly, it is necessary to install a "snail" or "umbrellas".

During operation, the hopper should be freed from dust accumulations in a timely manner - as it is filled by 70 ÷ 80%. When installing the cyclone and servicing it, special attention is paid to the quality of the internal surfaces in contact with the purified air, and the sealing of the air duct system. The surface of the cyclones must be insulated to avoid burns to the operating personnel. The temperature of the insulating surface above + 45 ° C is unacceptable.
