Forced - draft machine
Forced - draft machine - is a machine which forces the air and gases in the industrial furnace, system of boiler installations and other systems, where the combustion of fuel is.
During the work the flue-gas pump removes the products of combustion from the boiler. And in the boiler that runs on a gas and liquid fuel, used special flue-gas pumps, which returns a portion of the flue gas, which suppress nitrogen oxides, into the furnace.
Forced - draft machines provides the ignition of fuel no matter what the external conditions affects the draught in the boiler. Recirculation of gas, which is used in a modern apparatus, would be impossible without special machines. The work of some type of burners is impossible without forced air injection under pressure (forced air blast), which allows to distribute the air in the combustion field as optimally as possible.
The less volume for pumping is, the less the machine works, and the volume of gas will depend on the temperature. Therefore, the fan is tried to set in front of any devices for heating the air, and flue-gas pump for boilers - after all heating surfaces. Since gases at the output are typically much warmer than the air, their mass and expenditure are bigger, flue-gas pump DN (ДН) requires more energy for the drive shaft than the fan to the same processing apparatus.
Environments where flue – gas pumps are working are more complicated than other fans for various reasons: due to increased corrosion from the flue gases, high temperatures, which in turn leads to very rapid wear. Big machine as a rule operates with a equal draught -the fan and the flue – gas pump works together maintaining in the furnace pressure, which is close to atmospheric, in the air – supercharge and in a gaseous environment – rarefaction.
In small apparatus the use of forced - draft machines can be unnecessarily: it can complicate the design and require more energy for their operation.
